Kiwi actor Lawrence Makoare is a hulking 6'4" in frame!
After starring in a few local dramas, he was cast in tv series Xena: Warrior Princess and in 2001 was cast by Peter Jackson in the first Lord Of The Rings installment; which he swiftly followed with the Maori Merchant of Venice before his fellow-countryman Lee Tamahori asked him to play the part of villanous Mr Kil - a name to die for!
Lawrence then completed work on the third Lord Of The Rings movie (having been unavailable for part II), as The Witch King.
He spends as much time as possibe with his five children and although he enjoys being based in Europe, he loves to return home whenever he can.
