Here at
Bondstars, we pride ourselves on bringing you a real mixture of artists
both in front and behind the cameras.
Nikki van der Zyl might not be a name you recognise, nor even one appearing
in the credits of the films, but nevertheless she played a very important
part!
From the very first Bond film, Dr No, Nikki was engaged to dub some of
the Bond girls ... Ursula Andress (also dubbed in Casino Royale), Eunice
Gayson, Shirley Eaton, Claudine Auger, Kissy Suzuki, Jane Seymour, Caroline
Munro as well as many supporting actresses in the films.
Nikki worked on scores of other films too including Battle of Britain,
The Ipcress File, A Tale of Two Cities, One Million Years BC, Prudence
and the Pill, The Private Life Of Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein Created
Woman, Call Me Bwana.... and she also performed some stunt work
in Carry On Cleo and Carry On Don't Lose Your Head!!
Her TV includes shows UFO, The Saint, The Persuaders and Interpol
Calling.
During the production of Goldfinger, Nikki was voice coach to Gert Frobe
and spent many hours on the set with him - and fortunately caught much
of that time on her little stills camera.
In the late 1970s, Nikki left the film industry to follow a career in
the political arena, at the House Of Commons.
