Biography

Nadim Sawalha, father of Julia Sawalha and Nadia Sawalha, was born in Jordan in 1935.

He made his British film debut in A Touch Of Class (1973) which was produced by Brut-Faberge, headed-ip by Roger Moore. Later that year, he appeared with Moore on screen in Gold. Film roles in Return Of The Pink Panther, Vampira and The Wind And The Lion were followed by his Bond debut in The Spy Who Loved Me, in which he played Egyptian contact man Fekkesh.

Nadim's film credits subsequently included Sinbad And The Eye Of The Tiger, Are You Being Served?, The Awakening, Sphinx, Young Sherlock Holmes, Half Moon Street, before - in 1987 - returning to the Bond fold, and playing Tangier's Chief Of Security in The Living Daylights.

Since 1987 Nadim has continued to appear in features and top tv drama: Lovejoy, Inspector Morse, The Bill, Holby City, House Of Cards, Son Of The Pink Panther, Dangerfield, The Avengers (feature), Cleopatra, and Arabian Nights.
